What is your role?

The ISO 19650 series defines three main roles in managing project information:

Appointing party – usually the client or asset owner who defines the information requirements and appoints others.
Lead appointed party – coordinates all project information to meet requirements, such as a principal designer or main contractor.
Appointed party – specialist contributors like architects or engineers who deliver specific information.

This assessment is for these three roles only. Third parties such as consultants, legal professionals, regulators, or technology providers are not included, as their responsibilities vary. Third parties can contact us separately to discuss tailored support under ISO 19650.
